The Photographers' Gallery

Housed in a state-of-the-art six-storey building, located down a small Oxford Street side-alley, The Photographers’ Gallery shows photographic images from across the globe. Along with an open-planned café and wonderful bookshop selling quality photographic editions, its modern, specially designed galleries are neatly located on each of the building’s consecutive floors.

As the only institution in London to specialise in such a dedicated presentation of photography, it forms a hub for the international photography community, organising a lively programme of events that range from philosophical discussions on the digital image to evening socials.

The Wallace Collection

Built over the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries by the Marquesses of Hertford and Sir Richard Wallace, it is one of the finest and most celebrated collections in the world.

The collection was given to the British Nation in 1897. It was an astonishing bequest and one of the greatest gifts of art works ever to be transferred into public ownership.
